Eyewitness to History: Norma Percy and Angus Macqueen on The Death of Yugoslavia

Billed in The Times as a ‘What to Watch’, ‘Eyewitness to History: Norma Percy and Angus Macqueen on The Death of Yugoslavia’, will air Tuesday 8 July at 10pm on BBC Four. It will be followed by Episodes 1 and 2 of the BAFTA winning 1995 series.

Acclaimed documentary-maker Norma Percy will be joined by producer Angus Macqueen to tell the extraordinary story of how they made The Death of Yugoslavia.

As war unfolded around them, Norma and Angus managed to secure interviews with all the conflict’s key players through a combination of luck, persistence and persuasion that culminated in an encounter with the man at the heart of it all, Slobodan Milosevic.

The series is also featured in Nick Fraser’s new book ’Say What Happened – A Story of Documentaries’.

Episodes 3, 4 and 5 will air on BBC Four, on Tuesday July 15 from 10pm.
