Broadcast reports on Zinc’s record results as profits approach £1m

Following the announcement of our record results for H1 2025, CEO Mark Browning spoke with Broadcast to discuss the key numbers and future strategy as we continue to build on this significant progress.

He comments: “This jump was credited to some of [our] biggest contract wins and buzzy programming [which] strengthen the deliverability of our medium-term targets of £50m revenue and €5m EBITDA.

“Our first-half performance demonstrates how Zinc is breaking new ground. We’ve delivered our largest projects to date, entered new genres, and seen our work recognised on the biggest stages.”

The article lists highlights from H1 2025 that include Brook Lapping’s tent-pole BBC/CNN documentary, Live Aid at 40: When Rock n’ Roll Took Over the World, its ‘timely’ documentary, Israel and the Palestinians: The Road to 7th October (BBC2), as well as Tern TVs’ first quiz, The Inner Circle (BBC1), and its sand-sculpting competition show, Race Against the Tide (BBC Scotland). It also outlines how Zinc will unveil a direct-to-consumer strategy, set to roll out this year, which will exploit our 4,500-hour IP catalogue.

Mark concludes: “Across the first half of the year, Zinc has shown it can deliver at scale —from launching new entertainment formats to staging major events – and the industry has taken notice.

“None of this happens without the craft and commitment of our people and the trust of our clients. I’m hugely grateful to the teams across Atomic, Brook Lapping, Rex, Red Sauce, Supercollider, Tern, Raw Cut, Tomos TV, Electric Violet, The Edge, Bumblebee, and our freelance community for making it happen.
