Bob Geldof talks Live Aid Doc at the Hay Festival

On Saturday 31st May, Bob Geldof (the man who started Zinc!) will join Martin Griffiths, former Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator at the United Nations, and Ayisha Osori, Human Rights Lawyer, in conversation with Lyse Doucet, the BBC’s Chief International Correspondent, at the Hay Festival.

Four decades after Live Aid and Live8 captured the world’s attention, and at a time when governments are cutting international aid budgets, the panel discussion will reflect on Live Aid’s complex legacy – drawing on Brook Lapping’s brand-new documentary for the BBC and CNN, which reveals the backstage story.
